The name "BORNEO" evokes visions of a legendary tropical island famed for its headhunters, white rajahs, dense rainforests and mysterious unexplored caves. The times have passed when headhunters and pirates abounded but the romance and the charm of the country remains. It is a Land of Adventure from its steamy jungles to its cool mountains and warm coastal plains.

Geographically located at the East of Singapore and South of Hong Kong with the South China Sea, the Java Sea and the Sulu and Celebes Sea's surrounding its shorelines, its regions make up the worlds third largest island.

The island of Borneo is divided into four separate states : Sarawak, covering the northwest of the island and wrapping itself around Brunei's separate halves, The independent Sultanate of Brunei, Sabah, which occupies the northwest tip of Borneo and the Indonesian territory of Kalimantan. Sarawak and Sabah is Malaysian territory in the island.

Sabah, Land below the Wind is also a state of a great congeniality and is home to over thirty different etchnic groups. It serves a very ideal place of last destination after exploring Sarawak with its crystal clear sea abounds with coral reefs and fish of every shape, size and colour while the famous Mount Kinabalu Park is reknowned for its pitcher plants and numerous species of orchids.

Sarawak, Land of the Hornbills is situated on the north-west coastline of Borneo Island reaching deep into the rugged and mysterious interior of the world's third largest island with its dense, lush and green shot through with the vibrant hues of Bougainvillea, the stunning Flame of the Forest and multitude of other dazzling tropical flowers. It provides an insight into one of the oldest tropical rainforests, and thus some of the most interesting places to visit in this part of the worldor other travelers.
