Masjid Jamek, Kuala Lumpur
This striking red-brick and marble building is a beautiful example of north Indian Islamic architecture. Built in 1907 and officially opened by the Sultan of Selangor on December 23, 1909, it is the oldest mosque in Kuala Lumpur. It is located at the confluence of the Gombak and Klang rivers where miners in search of tin first landed in Kuala Lumpur.
