7D/6N Sabah – Mulu Crossover

Day 1: Transfer  (D)

Meet your guide at airport in Kota Kinabalu and transfer to your hotel. At the evening meet your guide at the hotel lobby and depart for your dinner in a local seafood restaurant with a cultural show. After dinner you will be transferred back to the hotel for overnight.

Day 2: KK – 1D Kinabalu & Poring – KK (B/L)

Breakfast in hotel. After breakfast, meet our guide and proceed for a 2 hours overland Drive(88 km) through padi-fields and Dusun villages over the ridges of the Crocker Range to the foothills of Mt. Kinabalu at 5,000ft, to arrive at the park headquarters at Kundasang. Visit the Visitor Centre and Mountain Garden; home to some of the 24 species of flowering rhododendrons, 10 species of carnivorous pitcher plants, estimated 1,400 species of orchids, over 600 species of ferns, more than 40 species of oak trees and over 300 species of birds. Lunch will be served in the Park. Continue 40 km journey to Poring stopping briefly at fruitstalls & a pottery. Explore tropical rainforest among the jungle trail leading to the treetop canopy walkways suspended 41 meters above the forest floor before returning to Kota Kinabalu.Overnight in hotel.

Day 3: KK – Sandakan/ Selingan (B/L/D)

'Turtle Island'

Breakfast in the hotel. After breakfast you will be picked up and transferred to the Kota Kinabalu airport for your onward flight to Sandakan. You will be picked up from the Sandakan airport and transferred to the jetty & a 40km (1.5hr) boatride to Selingan Island in Turtle Islands Marine Park (1,700ha). Check in to be free at leisure. Swim or sun bath on white sandy beaches. Just ten minutes boatride away are beautiful coral formations not to be missed by enthusiastic, snorkeller. After dinner, wait for Green and/or Hawksbill Turtle coming ashore to lay eggs, and witness the release of young turtles to the sea.OVernight at Selingan Chalets with attached bathroom. Lunch and Dinner will be served in the restaurant in Selingan.

Day 4: Selingan/ Sepilok/ Sandakan – Kota Kinabalu (B/L)

Return to Sandakan and proceed to Sepilok Orang Utan Rehabilitation Centre. Trek ten minutes through the rainforest on wooden plankwalks to witness the feeding of the orang utans at 10.00am. After lunch a short tour of Sandakan town including a visit to the water village with tea break and the Australian War Memorial before we transfer to the airport for flight to Kota Kinabalu. Pick up at the airport in KK and transfer for overnight in booked hotel in KK.

Day 5: Kota Kinabalu – Mulu/ 2 Caves (B)

Breakfast in hotel. Pick up and transfer to airport for your flight to Mulu.

In Mulu you will be picked up at the airport and transferred to the Royal Mulu Resort where your guide will assist you with the Check In. In the afternoon the tour continues with a 3-km plankwalk through the jungle to the Deer & Langs Caves. After visiting the caves we will wait on the Observation platform for the bats coming out of the Cave

Return to the Resort late evening for overnight.

Day 6: Mulu/ 2 Caves – Miri (B/ L)

Breakfast in Resort This morning you will be taken for a longboat ride up the Melinau river to visit a Penan settlement, after this visit we will proceed with the tour to the Wind and the Clearwater Caves. Marvel at the elegant rock corals, heltites and flow rocks and the wonderful stalactites and stalagmites. Enjoy a refreshing swim at the Clearwater Caves. Picnic lunch will be served at the Clearwater resthouse. After lunch, proceed with the longboat downriver back to the Resort. Rest of the day free at leisure until your will be picked up and transferred to Mulu airport Pick up and transfer to Mulu airport for flight to Miri. Pick up from Miri airport and transfer to your hotel for overnight.

Day 7: Transfer (B)

Pick up and transfer to Airport Miri for Extension or flight to home country.

Day 1: Transfer (D)

Day 2: KK – Rungus Longhouse Tour – KK (B/L)

Breakfast at the hotel. After breakfast, you will be picked up by our guide and proceed for a visit to the Rungus Longhouse.The Rungus, a tribe of the Kadazandusun group, are found mainly on the Kudat and Bengkoka Peninsulas in the northern part of Sabah. Experience the past through the communal longhouse lifestyle that is fast giving way to modernity. Excellent phot-opportunities as many of the ladies still wear the traditional chest-to-calf black sarongs and other native ornaments. Cultural performance can be arranged on request. Lunch will be served in the longhouse. Visit will also be made to Kota Belud Tamu  if it is Sunday. After your longhouse experience proceed back to the hotel for overnight.

Day 4: KK – Sandakan/ Gomantong/ Sukau(B/L/D)

Breakfast in the hotel After breakfast you will be picked up and transferred to airport BKI for your connecting flight to Sandakan. Meet on Arrival at Sandakan airport and depart overland to Gomantong. Spend the morning exploring the caves. After a picnic lunch, proceed to Sukau (1 hour) and join a river cruise in search of the proboscis monkeys. Dinner and overnight at a riverside Jungle Lodge.

Day 5: Sukau - Selingan (B/L/D)

Day 6: Selingan/ Sepilok/ Sandakan (B/L)

Breakfast in Selingan After breakfast, return to Sandakan to visit Sepilok Orang Utan Sanctuary rewarding experience at the 43 sq.km Sepilok Orang Utan Sanctuary and Virgin Jungle Reserve. Here, 24 km from Sandakan, young orphaned or captive apes are rehabilitated for life in the wild. Tour covers a local fish/vegetable market water. and a fishing village buildt on stilts over largest Visit Buddhist temple top Puu Jih Shih Temple, the Sabah, town Chinese dramatically sited on a steep hile in overlooking Sandakan Bay and the centre. Lunch will be served in a local restaurant.

Transfer to Sandakan airport for departure flight to Kota Kinabalu. You will be picked up from Kota Kinabalu airport and transferred to your hotel.
