IBAN LONGHOUSE ADVENTURE

Sarawak's cultural diversity is a heritage of its 27 ethnic groups of peoples. The largest of this group is the Iban community which contributes to about 30% of the total population of the state. Traditionally, the Iban community live in longhouse - wooden structures built on stilts along rivers - and their main mode of transportation are motorised boats. Many traditional Iban longhouses can still be found in Sarawak today.
